David is a seasoned distressed debt and high yield portfolio manager with substantial restructuring expertise developed over his 26 years as a financial professional.
David joined Wazee Street’s investment team from J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s $35 billion high yield group where he served as a portfolio manager and special situations analyst responsible for overseeing and executing restructuring transactions within the firm’s portfolio. Prior to JP Morgan, David was Co-Head of Corporate Credit at Nationwide Mutual Insurance, Inc. overseeing the firm’s $30 billion credit portfolio. After six years as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns, David began his career as a distressed debt investor at Zazove Associates, where he invested across capital structures with a particular emphasis on busted convertible securities.
David holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Citadel, where he had a full athletic scholarship and was a four year football letterman.
