Todd Wood

Todd Wood joined Wazee Street in 2014 and is a Managing Director on the Investment Team at Wazee Street and brings strong distressed and equity investment experience.
Todd began his investing career as an investment intern at Bridgewater Associates from which he received a full-time employment offer. He instead elected to join Blackstone’s newly formed special situations co-investment group where he was the first hire and responsible for conducting due diligence on proprietary investments brought to Blackstone from hedge funds and private equity firms. Much of his focus was on distressed opportunities. After two years at Blackstone, Todd was recruited by Aurelius Capital Management, a leading distressed debt investment firm, and joined as a research analyst and trader. Todd was primarily focused on idea generation and trade modeling and worked on a diverse set of asset classes including fixed income, equities, credit default swaps, and option strategies. In addition, Todd developed a set of robust scenario models that were used to quantify and hedge overall portfolio and position level risk exposures. Subsequently, Todd moved to Denver to join Independence Capital Asset Partners, a long-short hedge fund, as an equity analyst where he covered the technology sector.
Todd graduated from Dartmouth College Cum Laude with a degree in economics and a focus in engineering, was captain of the squash team and was the 7th ranked American in the country.
